Adams Transcript
October 9, 1879
North Adams, Mass.- Patrick Cullinan age 29 died in
this village on October 2, 1879. Patrick was born in Ireland and was the son
of Michael and Katherine Cullinan. He leaves his wife Mary E. (Hanley) Cullinan
and one son John E. Cullinan.
Patrick Cullinan was a member of the North Adams Division 4 Ancient Order
of Hibernians. The Divison gave tribute to their fallen brother with the following
Resolutions.
Resolved, It has pleased the Almighty God to take from amongst us our friend and brother Patrick Cullinan who has been a faithful member of our society, therefor be it.
Resolved, that by the death of our late brother Patrick Cullinan, one of the oldes and most esteemed brothers, this society has suffered a great lost, the community a good citizen, the church a devoted member, and Ireland a true and mobile son.
Resolved, that the members of this society sympathize with the family in their affliction and tender their sincere condolence in this, their hour of grief.
Resolved, that as tribute of respect to the memory of our deceased brother , our hall be draped in mourning for three successive meetings, and that copy of these resolutions be presented to the family of the deceased.
Resolved, that these resolutions be printed in the Adams Transcript and Boston Pilot.
